Where is everyone getting there Tstats from, with allot of companies there seems to be some confusion on the difference between 03 and earlier and 04 and up.

i believe the '04 and up is just a thermo, no housing needed. I got mine from JEGS, but i got an SLP thermo, only because i went to SLP and they have a $25.00 minimum order, and the t-stat is $24.95, it was really stupid.

Think I found a SLP from summit. Any of you guys notice a drop in tranny temps as well. I am hopeing a cooler Tstat will help keep my tranny temps a hair lower being that mine is routed through the rad before it gets to my cooler.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...DME:L:RTQ:US:1 I hope I didn't get ripped off because I just ordered that. Is that a good one or does it really matter?

I paid $35 or $36 OTD so you are good. Looks just like the SLP one.

I actually just started to watch my tranny temp gauge the other day. I can't really tell cause i haven't driven it that much yet, and haven't hit it hard in a while. I'll let you know on that.

You should, as the factory puts a trans cooler in the radiator. So if the coolant for the engine is running cooler, that coolant will circulate around the internal (to the radiator) cooler and cool off the trans cooler, making the tans fluid cooler. My truck has the external cooler as well (tow package), so I have extra cooling.
