That little bastard didn't want to come off! I only tried one and didn't get real mean with it for fear of destroying the wire, though. Is there some sort of special voodoo dance that needs to be performed to remove GenIII plug wires? I was thinking of using some pliers on the heat shields. I'll show those little turds who's boss next weekend when I install LTs and I'll definitely use some dielectric grease when I put in new plugs.

The best thing I can suggest is to twist the plug wire boot back and fourth and it will help free it up a little bit.

Twist, twist, twist...sideways (clockwise and counter-clockwise on the plug, w/o pulling). Once they break loose, they should pull off without breaking...hopefully.

 

just yank em, if you break it it'll give you an excuse to go buy some fancy lookin ones

 

something in the grease the factory uses turns to concrete...serously! i fucked up all 8 factory wires because they wouldnt come loose. my new wires pop loose with minimal effort.
