He ran a 12.59 with the mighty 4.3L & n20.
If I remember correctly, the V6 bottom end was stock, but he had:

cam
roller rockers
headers
pulley(s)
misc. bolt-ons

Thats a nice looking truck! FYI, Chris at MTI sprayed the hell out of his 4.3L Sonoma and I believe it ran high 12s on slicks. The engine never blew, and he sprayed the crap out of it.

I'm starting to think about trying a 100 shot on the truck. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Thats what I've been saying. Spray it!!!

You don't want to waste ANY bottom end torque turning a centrifugal charger with that motor. <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" /> You'd have to leave the damn thing in second gear just to get some rpms/boost to tow your trailer at 50-60mph. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

You should make a stroker motor for it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> The only problem is the stroker crank for those 4.3L cost more than one for a LS1. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Why not a 150 shot? The motor is still new, it should <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> be able to take it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

A 150 might be a bit much. How about a 100 shot (52N), and 28" ET streets? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I'm sure I could get in the low 13s that way, with a few other small mods. I lose the sleeper effect though with the ET streets...

N2O all the way! That way you could yank the kit off and push it to the dealer for warranty work. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
