When I floor it from a dead stop the temp gage on the dash goes from the normal place where it stays when warmed up down to like the 100 mark and then back up all within about 1 second. I have noted that on a-tap the temp goes from like 178 to 120 for one frame and then back to 178. This coincides with the timing problem I have been having where the timing goes down to negative numbers at the hit of the throttle and then starts coming back. Any ideas???

Torque management will drop timing from a dead stop when you hit it.
I assume you have the whipple computer still hooked up. I'd look to that for answers. Log your intake air temps. My whipple computer would do crazy stuff like drop my IAT from 100 to -40 and stuff like that. I noticed lots of other funny stuff when I had it in place. After I removed it, things were better.
Worst case, unplug it, then do some low rpm testing. You won't need your Aux injectors unless you go in the upper rpms.

Thanks Bigtex, now that you mention it, before I had A-tap all I had for a scanner was the Palm based setup and even though it won't log, I do remember seeing IAT readings doing stupid stuff like drop to -40 so I hacked ito the wires and rigged up a separate IAT sensor (like the cars) It made no difference so I eventually put it back to stock. I bet you are on to something-I can't wait to unhook that whipple 'puter and see what happens. Might be time for some bigger injectors! I am off the next couple days so I should be able to find some time to mess with it a little.

Like I said, it will run fine w/o the whipple unit. Just take it easy WOT in the upper rpms. At least it will let you log it a little.
I've read about how its bad for the stock injectors to be pushed to the 100% mark (static). But I think thats what the whipple unit does to them - makes them flow all they can and adds more fuel with the AUX injectors to make up the difference. Parish8, what do you think?

The IAT is all over the place-from -40 to 120 when the actual temp is about 70. I went to the track last night to test-the same track where I pulled 1.86 60ft on the Generals a couple weeks ago-and it was like driving on ice. The second pass I held it down for the heck of it and is fried the tires for about 500 feet! I made 2 useless passes and then flashed back to my original tuning just to see, but the track was way slick. I did change the "spark retard limit" table to "8" and so far I haven't noticed the timing go lower than 7.5 so I think I have the retard issue figured out. Probably about time for the Eaton and some slicks.
