Default tech ?

For anybody out there who can help. I have a 02 gmc danali w/a6.0 full time four wheel drive w/4wheel steering run's awesome. however being a baby boomer which basically means street racer. I am thinking of changing engine's, so here's the ?. I would like to install an LS9, the 638 horse. I would like to know if the tranny & axel's ( drive train) would handle the increase in power. and if I would have modify or change the electric's.

Put a tune on that 6.0 and hide some spray somewhere and eat some fools up.

But yes the your drive train will work with the ls3...for a little bit

And i think you'll have to get an adapter of some sort to handle the 24x to 58x reluctor wheel

stay with the 6.0.

Yes it will work but that's a LOT of money to be spending on a new engine when the one you have can accomplish the same goal.
Throw a Supercharger, Turbo, Or nitrous on what you have right now with a strong custom tune and go mow down some sports cars.

when you say the 648HP LS3, are you referring to the LS9? that's a similar but completely different animal

I was going to say...

You have a good combo in there already, 6L and 4L80 with a strong rear end Throw a few $ into it and you're good to go!

Throw a stroker kit into that 6.0 with ported L92 heads and decent cam. It'll be better than a regular LS3.

Hell L92's alone are a nice upgrade. Match those with a good cam, LT's, Tune and you'll have an animal.
