Default Tbss?

Let me start with, I am sorry if this is in some way a repost. I spent alot of time trying to answer these questions by searching the post and just could find what I was after.

I own an 05 1500 5.3. I have seen that every one suggests the TBSS swap. How much of a gain do you really get for the money? Only really after market upgrade intake I and find is 900 bucks, not in a rush to do that. But if the TBSS is a substantial gain I am all for it. That being said is it as easy as just throing it in? Or do I need to get creative with sensors and wiring between the two trucks? Thank you for the info.

My crew cab picked up about 1.5mph just after the swap. If you search my posts you can see what I had to do to make it fit my 06.
