Talking TB Spacer.......

Ok I know what your thinking, hear me out. I'm thinking about getting a Throttle Body spacer just for the sound. I have heard a few people say that the spacer doesn't make a gain but it has a cool supercharged/turbocharged sound to it. If it does make this sound, how loud is it? Which TB Spacer is the loudest and will it make me lose HP or TQ? Lastly, will it work with a Radix, or volant intake system?
Thanks for all replies!!

I have the Power Aid TB spacer. I didnt notice any gain, and it did make a loud wistle sound. With the K&N intake it was anoying loud especialy at hwy speeds. I took my dremil and ground the swirls down to match the TB diameter. Now it still wistles, but not so loud.

I've used one before. If you want it to whistle because you think it sounds like a supercharger/turbocharger, don't waste your time. Although it does make a whistling sound, it does not sound like either. Sounds more like you're riding around with the window cracked open, or something leaking. In other words, your truck will now sound like a POS. Just my .02.

Do not believe that you would be able to get it to fit with either a Radix or Volant, or the two combined.

I believe you can make it fit with an after market intake. I did it on my old 2000, when i first installed the spacer, the intake would hit the fan. All I did was shave the corner of each fan blade to where it woudln't hit. I never had ne problems with ne thing shortly after that I installed electric fans...
