I don't think it really helps IMO. 1/4" hose, and wait till the motor cools down competly. They say a picture is woth a 1000 words..... here is 2000...

Has anyone actually tested TB or air intake temperature to verify that this mod makes any difference at all?
I have even heard some people claim the TB temps can get hotter without coolant going through it.

I don't think it really does anything either way.

I have had it on my Z for a few years now and so have most of my friends. I think its just one of those things you can do just to say you did it.

And for all of those people that think it matters in the winter.....well I've been in Indiana this whole time and so far no one has ever had any problems with it in the winter. But there are no big changes either way.

I did it on my Camaro a long time ago. It's been fine ever since. Can't say it gave me any power (actually I doubt it did) but for $1.35 it couldn't be all that bad.

I would caution though that if you live in a colder climate (like I do) and DO drive it in that weather (I don't) that this may not be the best of mods to do as icing could form on the throttle body.
