Default TB bypass question...

i was just curious if a plastic hose extension will work instead of a metal one... how hot does the coolant get?... do you think this plastic will hold up?... its the only thing i could find without ordering that stuff from BMR... its for a 3/8 tube, thats the right size right?

A plastic one should be fine, the stock coolant temp gets about 195*, at least the stock stat is rated at 195*. I'm pretty sure the size is 1/4" though, at least that's what I remember from doing mine.

well ya know... its kinda funny... you were right about it being a 1/4. but i crammed that 3/8 up in those hoses! it was such a biatch... but i prevailed!..

i didnt want to have to try to put all the crap i had dismantled, back together again, so i just went with it... so its all good now....

I just eliminated all those hoses and crap by simply welding the end of the metal nipple shut.
