Default Tale of the tape.. err... scale

I got tired of wondering this morning about what the truck weighed for the drag times I've posted. I attempted to get a weight last time at the strip but they told me I would have to push the truck on and off the scales. I told em I don't push this truck anywhere

Anyway, I paid $10 at the local moving place to find the answer... The truck weighs 6760 lbs with me and a little under a 1/4 tank of gas. When I race I have a 1/2 tank so we might as well call it a 6800 lb race weight. What's wild is that I've always run it without the spare tire, tire mount and jack, and the third row seat. They take up too much space inside and I like the room to haul stuff. I've also always run without the roof racks. Just looks cleaner that way. If I had all that crap reinstalled it would be about 7100 lb curb weight with the 1/2 tank and me. That is crazy!

Just goes to show you that a big truck can still haul some ***. 6800 lbs and a 14.6 is very respectable. That Radix lays it down. It'll be even better once I get the proper sized injectors (57's or 60's) in there

Ya.. thats really good for a heavy *** truck... very respectable times...

IDK if it would benefit you to get a cam swap (bc idk how big that cam is already)... but a shift kit and 3000 stall or more would help.

But not on an 04. You had a 03, correct? There appears to be a definite difference.

the motor was out of a 2003 truck. Not really sure what the diff is between a 2003 or a 2004 LQ4 block with a supercharger would be. THere are guys running the 43 pound radix injectors making alot more power than you....I think there is something in the tune that you might be missing.

It looks to me like the problem has been identified over on SilveradoSS.com by Zippy and Big Tex and some others. The fuel pressure regulator on the 03 gains pressure as the truck goes into boost. The 2004 doesn't. All I know is that the wideband and injector times don't lie. These injectors can't maintain 11.3 to 1 at high rpm on my engine in my truck.

I don't doubt that there are others making more power than me with the same injectors, but the fact is that my combination is telling me it needs more. There's no magic thing in the pcm that is going to save me. We've been all through it table by table. I imagine there would be some way to take out the regulator and go to a higher pressure but that isn't the right answer.

I would really love to know what your airflow numbers were and what your truck did on the wideband. I'd like to know what a lot of guys have seen but those numbers either are unknown or are not posted for some reason. Maybe I'm just not willing to tolerate the leanness on the upper rpm range that others are.

I have lots of questions, but I cannot ignore the story my tools are telling me. On my particular 2004 H2... I need more.

I'll post all my results as usual. There might be that one other guy out there somewhere that happens to see a similarity to something I've seen or done.
