Default Swaybars

Just wondering here. I see aftermarket sway bars for our trucks that are at stock ride height, and for 2"/4" lowered trucks. I would like to lower my truck 2" all the way around for a nice subtle drop. Which rear sway bar should I use, the 4" drop one or the stock height one? Thanks.

stock one....the only way to lower the back 2" that i know of is shackles and a stock swaybar will work with shackled lowering. which brand are you looking to get?

Thanks, I was thinking about the Hotchkis ones, as they seem to have a nice reputation.

they do seem to be pretty nice....i've been looking at them lately also but decided to make some appearance changes for now and hold off on the hard core suspension mods until i just go ahead and lower it 2/4 with the hotchkis kit and some cal tracs

I would go with the 2/4 drop also, but I carry bikes often in my truck, and sometimes tow the family boat, so I want to keep that level look when hauling or towing. Thanks for the input.

I'm in the same boat as you .. I would rather get some springs for the rear than put shackles in though.

Does anyone make 2" drop springs? All that I have seen are the 4" drop versions. I'm not looking for that "tugboat" look when I have stuff in the truck. Thanks.

What about the front .. do our trucks have springs in the front or the traditional GM torsion bars?

Please excuse my ignorance this time .. I haven't thought to look at it to closely yet.

I am pretty darn sure that 2WD drive trucks have coil springs, while the 4WD and AWD trucks have torsion bars.
