Sway Bar Question(s)
#1
I've searched the forum already, and I can't find much (any really) information on upgraded Swaybars for our trucks. Perhaps I was just searching wrong, but what I wanted to know is how much aftermarket swaybars help. Anyone here installed one? Did you do both front and rear, or just one end? How much of a difference did it/they make? What addition has made the most benefit to your handling?
I'm looking for some handling upgrades for our Yukon Denali, and trying to reduce the body roll for more controlled cornering. Not trying to make a racecar, just a safercar.

I bought Belltech front and rear swaybars from a member on fullsizechevy a year ago, and while the front one didnt make a big improvement, the rear one definitely did.
I would just get some polyurithane bushings for the stock front bar, and add a Hotchkis or Belltech rear bar. The Hotchkis front bar *might* be an improvement over the Belltech bar (front), I wouldn't know but theyre known to have top notch stuff. I've heard a few stories of the Hellwig bars breaking. Hotchkis is probably the best way to go, but my rear bar really made a difference - much more stable and less body roll.

I got Hotchkis 2/4 drop and the sway bars and I love it.
When I was stock, taking a corner or a bend in the road at high speeds it felt like the truck was going to tip over if you know what I mean.
Now, I can take about 45* bends at 90MPH...it's a rush! The truck just stays level. I highly recommend them sways as I think they do more for handling than the 2/4 drop. I mean, the drop helps, but the sway bars are just awesome!
