Swapping a 8.1 for a 5.3???

I guess that's what I meant by unsprung weight. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I'm also factoring the added weight of a HD transmission to handle that torque as another weight burden.

Question is, does the added power potential of the BBC and torque offset the weight it adds.

One thing that the BBC definetely has to it's advantage if you should choose to go this route is that in stock form it is relatively tame, believe it or not. It's only running 9.3:1 compression stock. Imagine what this thing can do when you wake it up with a set of heads and cam, oversizing the bottom end or adding a sh*tload of boost on it. Or you could do all three <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />
