Default swap gears or not?

After completing my 4.3 to 6.0 swap, I got to looking at my rearend gears. I found out they were 3.08 gears. Probably not the best for what I'm trying to do. I heard they are a highway gear. It takes off pretty well, but I think it could do much better with some different gears. I have the stock 5 speed in it, and don't want to get too low of a gearing. It's a daily driver. From what I have been reading, 3.73 or 4.10 is a choice set of gears, but they are all with automatic trans. Don't know if it would be different with manual. Any suggestions?

not a clue, I know there were two different manual transmissions that year, one with a creeper gear, and one without. Mine is the one without.

3.73's would definatly be a nice improvment for a street truck, if you like racing the 1/4 then 4.10's would probably be better.

I'm 99% sure they didn't make anything smaller(numberically) than a 3.42 back then. Only just recently did they make trucks with 3.23's and I've never heard of a nbs truck with a 3.08 differential.

thanks for all your inputs. Does anybody have any 3.73's in good condition they are willing to part with?

Would 3.42's be something to look into?
