Well that is just wrong. Someone on that end didn't pack the other instruction sheet in my box. The first thing that tech support asked was if the truck was equiped with onstar. That may be the root of my problem then. Thanks for the reply.

Stove,
Yes I did have to send my unit back to superchips for an update. Yes it did activate the passlock fuel shut off but disconnecting the battery cleared that. After I got my tuner back everything went fine, no problems whatsoever. I'm sorry to hear about all of your trials with your tuner. They should've put the additional instruction sheet in your box, shame on them. If you need to see it I could probably scan it and email it to you. If you need it email me at puffnstuff12@***.net and I'll hook you up with it.

According to superchips tech, the onstar instructions were not included because they have solved that issue in the tuner itself so it is not necessary to remove a fuse. I'm not so sure.
My truck is alive again one pcm later. Also replaced the fuel pump for low pressure, but I don't believe that was related to the tuner problem. Tuner itself is one its way back to superchips.
I think that I want to to buy an extra PCM just in case. How would I go about getting it programmed?? I don't think I can just take it into the dealer and ask to have my vin info programmed into it?? Any ideas?? Is there another way to get a pcm programmed???

You can find valvegod here, just in case.
i've been dealing with him for the last 10months and he's been real helpful. i would recommend him to anybody so far. my pump went out in my new ls1 and he's going to reimburse me when i send him the old pump.

Valve god is the way to go, i was happy with his service, and my pcm was shipped the day i ordered it. I nuked a pcm from piggybacking my hypercrap and my supershits programmer. not only did that fry my pcm, it locked both programmers. I had to send back the supershits and they sent a new one. good luck.

Well superchips shipped a new programmer to me today, to my surprise it looks different than the old one and has a different part number. I suspect there might have been a batch of bad programers out there. Well as soon as my truck returns from the dealer I will try it out.

when programming the pcm you must install battery charger on low or medium power on battery. due to the fact that with the key on and the data downloading if the battery volts drops below 12.0 volts it will lock the pcm up. you must get a new one from the dealer. i know this due to the face may dumb techs at the dealer i work at do this all the time. if it happens you can try to remove the positive cable from the battery and touch it to the negative cable some times this unlocks the pcm
