Thanks for the input.. Hope I wasn't comming off as a mr know it all.. The belt itself isn't all that tight. The spring tension in the tensioner is fairly weak (fairly wore out). But I do see your points. Tell you the truth, I'm not sure I'll even be running that belt or water pump by the time I get it all back together. I have my eyes open for an EWP. Then I'll most likely move the tensioner down near the ALT with a custom bracket or make my own tensioner.

BTW, if there is belt slip, it's not that bad.. The data loger doesn't show huge jumps in temp even after several hot laps.
