didn't say it was cheap, but the prices are about in that range. Radix has a non-intercooled kit that's like 1,500ish cheaper.

LOL, no he said $1500ish cheaper. IE about $3500 for the kit sans-intercooler.

Most full blown turn-key SMOG LEGAL intercooled kits will run you about $4500-$7000.

Cant afford it? Go the nitrous route. Good power when the bottle is full and much less expensive in the short term.

I kjnow more people who have ruined engines with forced induciton than those with nitrous Anything can ruin an engine. Its all about being careful and using your power adder wisely and not being greedy.

When looking at turbo/super charging, look at what preparation you need and the longevity of the engine. Up to 5 lbs of boost and you have max'd the stock internals. Run more boost and look for #7 cylinder to go. Forged for higher boost.

Originally it was thought that tuning and/or IC would let you handle more boost but to many engines still went boom!!!

On a stock engine you might make 230-250 rwhp add 5 lbs boost and you get 320-350hp...40% increase for 5K.

It is asinine to run a supercharger without an intercooler, the added power and longevity that the intercooler provides is worth the extra money. Besides you said money was no object

Nitrous, installed and run by a sane person, can be very safe and an effective way to make power. I've sprayed a 250 shot on my Camaro several times without a hint of trouble. And boy does it run

well, more information would definitely help. from what i understand, if you tow, you would be better w/ a sc. turbos seem to be better for racing because you have less chance of being a tire fryer and if you run high boost turbos are more efficient. if money is not an issue, save up, try one, then switch to the other and see which you prefer more.

Huh? You dont need forged internals that early in the game. Its been shown over and over again that the stock internals dont have any issues till you start hitting well over 500rwhp. In fact a buddy of mine is hitting over 600rwhp on stock internals and I was doing around 550.

FWIW I ran a non IC Whipple on their stock (I believe 5#) pulley and went 10k miles before losing #7 piston. Turned out to be a big waste of time/money for 360/384rw.
I'd go STS intercooled if I was doing FI again.
