just get a folgers cofee can and poke holes in it. it would be a cheaper corsa knock off.

i would like something that is pretty loud though when accelerating (not having to 'get on it', just loud from a stop with normal acceleration) ...does this fit my description?

i was thinking about getting the Summit cat back and if it didnt sound great, just do an easy muffler swap. any reason not to?

Why not just get Muffler X/?? and have it welded it in place, no real need for a full catback system, save the money for something else.

Sorry guys I meant to post about the Summit Exhaust a while back but did not. I installed the Summit Kit with the single side exit, but used a Hooker muffler instead of the one in the kit. My truck had an aftermarket catback that after many years finally rusted to the point it was going to fall off, so that is why I went with the 3" Summit kit. It took some time to get everything right, but it fit really well after some modicifation. I do not really remember what the kit muffler sounded like. I slid it on for a minute, but since you can see right through the Hooker it went on.
I ordered the correct kit for an ext cab, short bed truck but the system will not bolt right up! I would have to measure my scraps but I cut like 7 inches off between the I pipe and over the axle pipe, and it is not mentioned in the instructions. I actually read them because I could not figure out what I was doing wrong. The hooker muffler is also an inch shorter. Then I thought the tail pipe was to far behind the tire so I brought it closer by 3 inches with another cut. I welded a Magnaflow stainless steel tip on the tail pipe. The Hooker muffler went on fine, but had me worried because the hooker offset 14" muffler has the opposite offset as the muffler in the kit, so I was worried it was going to hit the frame rail, but I have just over an 1" of clearance, so that worked out fine. With all the adjustability you have with the pipes I wish I would have gotten the Hooker with no offset, just center in/out. Painted it all with some high temp silver paint to give it a ceramic coated look and I am very happy with my pieced together cat back.
