where is the thermostat located on these trucks and is it hard to change out? thanks..sorry i know its a dumb question

Well if his name is 5.3liter Im going to think is a NBS.

As for the thermostat.. . . Just fallow your lower radiator hose and it will got right to it. The thermostat is part of the thermostat housing on gen 3 motors

99-and up, should be in the same place for 4.8, 5.3, & 6.0L engines. Hope this picture helps, laters The Bandit-Z......

actually i was wanderin where it was on a 8.1 motor..also if i take the hose off, how much coolant am i gonna lose? thanks
