man it took me 1 hit on huge cresent wrench with a 20lb sledge hammer 
jk.
A rubber mallet on a medium sized cresent wrench. I also put Efans on my buddies 04 Tahoe Z71 and 04 Z71. very easy,, buy they only had about 40k miles on them.
mine had 145k miles on it and it was pretty easy... yours must have been on there pretty dang good!!

GEt this...4 hours of tryign to get mine off with the air chisel, banging wrenchs...etc...I still cannot get it off...I dont ahve autozone in Canada...SO I gotta hunt down this tool and buy one I guess....FAAAACCKKKKKK....Im pulling my hair out here
