stuck fuel regulator?

Default stuck fuel regulator?

well i tried to tweak my fuel pressure regulator and i cant get the adjusting screw to move any. i even tried to take the reg. off and turn it, but that didnt help any. i finally stripped it out so i guess now i have to buy a new one. any thoughts on what im doing wrong here?

Well, if you weren't able to move it before stripping it out, then you shouldn't have to buy a new one. Right? It should still be set to stock pressure. You won't notice a difference with your fuel pressure unless you are running a large shot of dry nitrous, have boost, or have lots of mods.

I tried doing this when I was running a dry shot of nitrous to see if I could get it tuned better. I was able to turn it a little, but stripped it when trying to lean it back out again. I think they lock-tite it in - anyway it doesn't move easily huh?
I fixed this problem by cutting a straight line in the bolt making it into a flathead screw. Then I got out a large flathead screwdriver instead of that small tourqes (sp?) screw. It turned right back to where I needed it, and I have left it there ever since. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

mine was hard to turn at first but it did move and i did feel a difference.

also it is a #10 torx bit not a #8 i almost stripped mine out and then realized that it was the wrong size
