Default STS Turbo Setup???

I was just wondering if that turbo kit is worth the money. If I go this route it will probably be the last bit of money that goes into my truck. Is it a worth while mod??? But if I do get the turbo kit is there anything else I NEED to get to complement it??? Maybe the methnol/alcohol injection, or injecters/ tune??? Thanks for any input !!!

it totally depends on if you want to run more then 5lbs of boost and what your current setup is. It is a very nice system. also you will need a tune no matter what.

I would take your headers, your Flowmaster and intake and sell em to recoup some cash.. Use that extra cash to either do a methanol kit or a small intercooler like Jerry2500 did.

Only thing really required to run the 5-6psi kit is a good tune and IMO injectors. You can then save up for the meth or an intercooler later if you felt like adding more boost. Otherwise it's not 100% needed.

I love my system and feel the base kit will work great for people who want a simple, near smog legal combo that puts out around 100-120rwhp more than stock.

Water injection is possibly cheaper then methanol. Something else to keep in mind

At $3.50/ga it's cheap enough to not use water. LOL

I bought my first 5ga jug of meth back in may. I still have over half the jug.

Even at $10/ga it would be worth it just for the octane.

Only draw back to 100% meth is it's flamable but it's cool. I figure next time I get into an accident I'm letting the bitch burn to the ground. No more 2nd deg. bruns for me. Hahaha

Is methanol leaded? Will it mess with the 02s/cats? I would keep the LTs, thunder's car made 101rwhp on 5psi with LTs in an A4 (Auto)

Like I told you in the FI section.. There is no proof what so ever that the LTs did anything for her car. Her car made more power than it was supposed to N/A as it was so her results shouldn't be the basis for comparison IMO

Besides, he doesn't have LTs. LOL

I seriously want to see someone measure the diff. I still have LTs sitting my my garage but I am not going through the BS involved with exhaust leaks till a sizable diff. is measured. LOL

Ohh, the methanol won't effect your cats in the amounts we use.
