So i would need a water pump just for the intercooler?
BAH.. nope, not a racer, just a daily with Big ***** is what i want. Air to air (with maby a fan) is simple.

i have an older 5.3L, an 01. I got 370 rwhp and 390 rwtq. I love my radix. The procharger is definately capable of producing more power. However, the power comes on much later, maybe at 3000rpm and you might need a stall to take advantage of it. If you are worried about peak numbers, get the procharger or any other centrifical SC. If you want a lot of power down low, get a twin screw(Whipple) or roots (Radix). Turbos are getting popular really fast with huge gains as well. A lot of guys know more than me, so search around.

I wqould say if you want more day to day power with ease of installation and a truely complete kit go with a radix over a procharger. If you are going to go crazy and mod mod mod and make your truck faster at any givin oppertunity whenever you have the money go Procharger. If something diff it what you desire go with the STS kit. The radix or magna is truely OEM quality and the kit is more complete. The procharger is not for the faint of hart.

If they wouldve been available, Id have gone for a turbo. They can produce more power and from what Ive been hearing if it is matched to your app appropriately it will produce near max boost by 3K!! Have you ever heard a truck with a turbo?? Its awesome. Its really just a personal choice.
Isnt air to water the most efficient??

My STS kit is already installed. I am just waiting for the cam and meth kit to go on and then it's dyno time.

Once the thing is safely tuned I'll hit the track for some #s for everyone.

One thing to remmeber about turbos is that you can have HP AND TQ #s better than a centrifugal and almost as good low end power as a Radix or twin-screw style blower. Keep in mind the Texas truck that did 514rwhp 586rwtq with 15psi + meth on a stock 5.3L. I am anxious to see his new #s with the new bigger housing since I upgraded mine as well just to be safe.

Turbos are just better all around when it comes to power, and adjustability.Being able to see full boost by 3000rpm is nice too They are just usally pricier and require more tuning.

Just gotta decide what you want. Do you want it to feel like it's got a big block in it or do you want to be the fastest out there at the track?

If you go with a supercharger, definately get a radix.

Between the Radix and STS-----I'd go with the radix.
