I probably cannot post a link from the Corvette forum but there is a guy in your neck of the woods that swears by the timing chain he sells (and he's sold many). If you are member over there take a look at user BLOWNBLUEZ06@RKT Performance as he offers everything valvetrain related and is pretty meticulous. The elite chain is still a single link chain and suppose to be better than IWIS which I've always read is where the bar is set for comparison. He also sells ported oil pumps. I can PM you his e-mail and Ph#, might at least be worth a shot for discussion sake.

Stock gm chain and gear has too much play. I don’t trust them in anything performance.

10/40 oil

40 cold
32 hot
75-80 wide open

also feeding 1 turbo. FYI, pressure dropped about 2psi feeding the turbo.

I am running the standard spring, not the higher pressure one.

My mains and rods are all around .0025

SLP used to sell a nice blueprinted oil pump with the worked ports. Manley sells one that's blueprinted CNC machined, anodized and clearanced for a double roller but kinda expensive at $240

Melling 296, cloyes hex adjust, 5-30 Mobil 1. With oil temps at 210* oil pressure is around 40 at idle.
I degreed everything with the stock timing gears and a ls2 chain years ago and it was out 3*. With the hex adjust it is spot on now.

precision maybe. I forget. I would have to look, it’s just a ported 10296. I wouldn’t expect any different pressures from it.

i wouldn’t mind adding a couple psi, but I was advised the higher pressure spring would be 100-120psi and I don’t want that much. Someday if I have it apart I’ll add a small shim to the low pressure spring.
