dont think it will hurt the motor if you have cats (or maybe even if you dont) - will just be loud as hell and probably not enough back pressure unless youre pushing serious air

I have been runing it for about two years. I still have both cats and I am runing some piping but do not have a muffler. It is not very loud at all, and it sounds GREAT wide open with the nitrous flowing. I did lose some botom end but my MPG went up and so did I top end.

I am running two cats and no mufflers, sounds very mean at idle, and not to loud at crusing speed. but when you get on it it freaken roars.
I have even drivin next to some local law inforcement, and they did absolutley nothing. didnt, get on it hard, jut cruised off the line.

I am running both cats and 3 inch exhaust<no muffler> and a 3 1/2 inch turndown, where the muffler used to be. I didnt really notice any low rpm torque loss<3500 stall>, but it does breathe alot better up top. Its not too loud at idle or cruise, but when i open it up it sounds awesome. I sounds like a racecar, i get wood just thinking about it. I also might have seen a little mpg improvement, but i dont really care about that so i dont watch that stuff so much.

what about runnin straight pipe from headers straight to a 1 chamber flow? on ea. side..have to edit out the codes for the 02 since cats would be gne! but would that make any hp improvement? andi know it would sound badass...

I will tell you right now you do not want to run a 1 chamber with no cats. It will op like a sob at around 2k up until 3k. very annoying getting on the highway.(my old setup was a 3 inch (1) 1 chambe dumped no cats) I really love my exhaust now though lookk in the sig.

first it's echoing like a sob becasue it's bouncing off the ground and under the truck panels. Personally I hate that sound of echoing, I like a deep race car sound and being loud and pretty clean. that's why I have dumps so it won't echo off the under neath of the truck, it will just pule through the ground.
