would it be worth the 70 bux to do the swap?

cam specs:
196/209 - .464 .479 on 116lsa

Definitely wouldn't be worth it IMO, if money is a concern I would check in the classifieds section because it seems like somebody is always selling a cam in there.

Definately not worth it. It would move your powerband up as well.

Get something like a 212/218 to see some real gains. Personally I would not go anything smaller than a TR220.

I agree on getting a bigger one, however I hace personally experienced this cam in my truck. I sold my 206/212 114 +4 cam and had this laaying around, so I put it in instead of the stocker till I got my 218/224. I think the LS1 cam pulled every bit as hard as the 206/212. The power band did move up a little, but it was hardley noticeable. I still had the stock converter. It actually left the line better than the 206, but it didnt start to pull hard till a little higher. Just my .02, but I did try a LS1 cam in my truck and was very happy with it.
