not really sure. i think the twin set up would be better. if the 420 will flow as much fuel as twin 340m's then you will have a return line problem and too much fuel presure at idle. my set up works because the 2nd pump is staged. comes up at 4psi of boost.

no, it is just a presure switch. there is a conector up near the fuse box under the hood that you can plug into to turn on the 2nd pump. on my truck it goes to a hops switch but you could turn it on anyway you want.
