Browsing ebay and ran upon this on a '99 Sliverado and was wondering if it was stock. If so, it looks heck of alot better than the one that I pulled off my '00.

Yep, that's what came on the 99 trucks when they went to the new body style.
From 00 on, it seems they change it to the tube with the big flat thing on top. It is a silenser, there's a hole in there. Not sure why they changed?

That is EXACTLY what my bay looked like before the air-intake and color-matched pieces....that's kinda freaky

 

looks different from what my stock '99 intake tube was. that is stock though. i've seen it before, just not on mine
