One of those guys would be ME! Keep me updated. Keeping stock the converter? I have one picked out then I change my mind. I just need to buy three, install all of them and pick one. LOL

Sounds like a nice cam for that big of a truk. I'd go with headers next. Wait til TBryne has a sell and grab the TOG's. Be sure to get them coated. They will make your PCM think your running lean causing you to run rich. The coating will keep the o2's hot enough so they get accurate readings. Take a look at the Volant system. It replaces the stock airbox which I think is a restriction in itself.

Ryan, what all else are you changing on the swap? Are you using the stock pushrods or did you get new ones? What kinda springs did you go with? I am considering a cam swap with my Denali.

Its been a while, but I think that Neil6.0 put his bone stock 2001 1500HD on a dynojet and made 270+hp and something over 300tq.

Also, brooke (99redhawk) made just over 300hp with a cam intake and cutouts. I didn't care for his choice of cam though, I don't particularly like the Crane lobes.

OK, just got back from the dyno!

Cam 216,220 114lsa .526/.532 lift
LS1 Edit (Timing curves only) no fuel changes
Flowmaster muffler

Thats it, no other mods.

301.9 SAE RWHP
303.6 RWTQ

Peak from 5300-5800 for Hp and torque was flat from 3500-5000 rpm. I am pretty damn impressed! Nnow all I need is the UPD and I'll be done.

I'll get the graphs posted up later.

Big Tex, you are right.. My cam sucked big time. It was free, so I tried it. Patrick G , gave it to me. That truck is gone and now playing with a 6.0 PSD. I quickly realized how bad it was. The ramps were really round and slow.. SDRedhawk, is the new handle now..hehe
