Started 6.0 Swap, and hit a few snags.

Ok... the motor's coming together but i ran into a few things that I figured yall could fill me in on. BTW the motor is a 2002 lq4
1. The 6.0 has oil cooler lines and i'm pretty sure my 99 4.8 didn't have one, should i just use the block off plate from my 4.8 or what are my options for installing an oil cooler?
2. I have a B&M tranny cooler, that i'm going to install but does anyone have any instructions or know of guide on the internet to install it? I have seen the controversy between using the stock (radiator tranny cooler) and the aftermarket tranny cooler but seriously which one works best? Also, if you use both of the coolers, how would you install it that way?
3. While I'm doing the swap do you think it'd be useful to do a thermostat swap? If i swapped i would just go ahead and do a 160*. And as far as the the thermostat goes, where is it located? I have heard of people claiming that the thermostats are adjustable? Is this true?

1. You can use the blockoff plate from your 4.8. You will need the gasket for the blockoff plate too....the one for the cooler fitting is different than the one for the blockoff plate. If you decide to run the cooler, you need to get a 34" radiator with the oil cooler on the driver's side, as well as the lines and gasket.
2. Tranny coolers are a snap to install, just make sure you get the routing correct. Most guys keep the stock radiator cooler inline too, and the fluid goes Tranny -> radiator cooler -> external cooler -> back to tranny.
3. It is simple to do a new t-stat any time, the only thing you have to do is drain the radiator. If you do it now it will save you that time, but it's not a big deal to do it later either. It is mounted to the water pump, on the passenger side.
