Default Stall question

I'm looking for a stall for my 4x4. I obviouslly dont know much about stalls, or I wouldn't be looking for opinions. I have a few mods listed in my sig, my cam and PCM are here and ready to go in. what size stall would be good for a daily driven 4x4 rcsb? I was thinking about a TB stall, and found a re-stalled factory converter stalled to 2800. Is this too much? Thanks

First you have to give us your goals. Why do you want a stall? Do you want to race your truck? Is fuel economy important to you? Do you go 4-wheeling?

Its my daily driver. I do a little fourwheeling, I don't race it much, but I would like to have a 14 second truck, cuz I'm dtill a big kid at heart. I play around on the street, but when off road, I still want to be able to crawl around. Kind of want it all I guess. I'm not real worried about economy, but I want to keep it decent. Or at least dont want to loose too much.

Have you driven/ridden in a truck with a 2600-2800 stall? When I did, it convinced me that I didn't want a higher than stock converter. If not, I highly recommend doing so before you consider a converter.

I have a 3000 in mine with basically the same truck and mods and I love mine. The tci seems to be a little tighter than most and it drives damn near stock until you stop on it from anything less than 15mph then the rpm's jump to 3 grand and it throws you back in your seat. If I had to do it all over again I would get my exhaust first cause I love the sound then a nelson tune and stall those three mods are most responsible for dropping the second off my 1/4 mile time. Get 2800-3000 stall and go have fun. I do some offroading at my deer lease and I havent had a problem with it. The only thing I dont like about it is trying to back a trailer up a slope it is like trying to back it up with a manual. Foot on the brake and gas at the same time if you let off the gas it will start rolling forward. Where are you located at maybe we could meet up if you are anywhere close.
