Default Stall or not to Stall?

I have a 03 2500hd 6.0 with the UPD, Factory 4.10 or 4.11 (i forgot which one) the predator program and cat back with flows and dual exhaust. The truck just feels real sluggish off the line. Would a yank help and if so which one. I don't tow anything real heavy and it doesnt see much off road. I was looking at the truck thruster 3000. What do you think. What stall would be good?

I think the TT3000 would be really good, I would also get a custom tune which will help alot. If you do the TT3000 put in a shift kit also. the reason your truck feels so slow off the line is becasue of torque managment. the custom tune can take care of that.

Can torque management be totally deleted? Also I have a friend that rebuilds trannies for a large tranny shop. He told me that a shift kit wouldn't do anything because the computer would detect the change in hydraulic pressure and compensate for it? He is good on trannies but he just does the stock stuff and maybe a hot C6 or turbo 400 here and there. I dont think he has much experience trying to hotrod the new stuff. I like the hard shifts. I drive my truck in tow/haul mode now just because it shifts harder. Is there anything else I should do? Might as well do it all now

I've owned many TC's (Yank, PI, and TCI) They all make really good TC's. If I was going with something over a 4,000 stall I've run Yank's because of their efficiency. In the 3,500-3,600 the PI #7 kicks ***. For @3,000-3,300 you can't beat a TCI. A new TC for $450 is really nice and will perform as well as any others. It will definitely get you out of the hole.
Good luck!

Also wanted to add - every time i've installed a shift kit I can feel the difference. So as far as the PCM noticing it and compensating I would have to disagree. Without taking a poll I would have to argue that every TC maker and every performance shop will tell you to get a shift kit and tranny cooler if you are going to install a TC. Just part of it. I've run without them on smaller stalls, ie below 3,500 and have not had problems with the tranny. Although this is in TA's and Z's - much lighter.

Thanks for your help guys. A couple more questions! What shift kit would be a good one to go with and with the towing package on my HD does it have a trans cooler already installed and if it does is it enough with a 3500 stall?

If you wanna save money the TCI stall would work great. My buddy has one in his truck (6.0L HD) and with a cam and long tubes he used to slam me into the ground with my similar mods and a 5.3L

You have a 4L80E in there so make sure you get the rigth converter for the truck because they are different than the 4L60Es.

The truck may be sluggish off the line somewhat because of TQ managment but your real problem is that our motor are pretty high reving for big V8s and don't start making any real good power till 3000rpm. Hell peak TQ is around 4200-4500rpm (can't remember exactly). Compare that to some of the older truck motors.
