I've been meaning to port the t.b. on my 07 Silverado. I was looking at it the other day and with the truck off, of course, lol the blade is at an incline, so there is and opening at the bottom of the blade (figured it's probably for idle). My question is if i port it that opening is going to be a lot bigger, will the computer adjust for this and close the blade up or will my truck idle really high?... I'm looking to port it this coming weekend so any help would be greatly appreciated. T.I.A

When you port you don't touch the TB mating surface

I understand that. I guess I can't explain my question right. Where the T.B. blade of my truck rests there is an opening at the bottom, if i push the t.b blade back with my finger it goes all the way back to where it seals all the way around. As soon as i take my finger of the blade it springs back to where it has an opening at the bottom. If i port that big bump that is there from the factory that opening is going to get bigger. My question is will the computer adjust it? will it move the blade further back to let less air in or what happens? Is my truck going to idle at 6000 RPM?
