SSR on the showroom floor....
#1
Just got back from the chevy dealer, I'm not a truck guy but they had a brand new SSR sitting in the showroom floor. Looks really nice, nice exhaust, nice rims, interior looks nice, but then came the price...... 46k PLUS a 25000 dealer markup....
I guess you could have one today if you have the money and want it bad enough.....

IT looks more like something you would see at the auto show in Detroit or something. Is it a limited thing or is it just going to be something like the PT Cruiser was when it first came out?

I dont exactly get the whole round styling cues since Chevy seems to be making all there vehicles more angular, I sat in one last weekend at the Tampa Bay autoshow and wasn't to impressed for the price.

I'm sure most of the people who'll get one will be rich wanna-be's who never had anything that ran and can't build anything on their own. I can't wait to get after one on the street! (my jealousy is rearing its ugly head). Actually, I'd rather have a blown SS or a Duramax crew cab that's full of Bullydog doo-dads. But different strokes for different folks.

It's a good step for gm to introduce some concept vehicles into the marketplace, but I am not sure if it should be called a truck. The engineering on the hard top looks really well done, it folds up pretty neat. I also saw the Cheyenne concept at the show, it was rediculous. I hope they build it. Check it out on the link below.
