Default Springs?

would yellow z06 springs be strong enough for a 220/220 112lsa or a 224/224 112lsa?

If not, suggestions?

If you're referring to the Thunder or TSP cams, I believe that they use Comp lobes and require something like Comp 918's, but I could be mistaken...

Right, like stated above it is the amount of lift and the ramp rate that determine what springs. The 918's are very popular.

if it is a thunder cam they say that the z06 springs do not have enough seat pressure and recommend the 918's.

I would stay away from 918s for now. Get anything else but those, unless they resolved their problems. I would install the LS6 springs before the 918s anyday just because mine failed. However, get what is specified maybe the Patriots, scoggin dickens, crane.

Comp had a recall of all the older springs and has replaced them with an upgraded version. I would not hesitate buying the 918's at all I run them. The new springs have no stripe and are shot peened to a nice bright finish. IMP Comp's customer service and products are top-notch!

Don't forget to allow aftermarket springs to warm up before you play hard

Wow, thanks for all the info so far guys. I'm not exactly which cam I want to go with, or the exact specs yet.

But as of right now it looks like I will be running the 918s unless something new and improved comes out by the time I get the cam. Should be within the next 6 months or so.

Any of our sponsors sell the 918s? Who has the best prices for them.
