Speed Engineering Y-pipe with cats added
New guy to the forum here. Been lurking for a couple days, looking at header options.
I've seen a lot of talk on here about the Speed Engineering lt headers and y-pipe. Seems like those who have them have been pretty happy with them. I'm very interested in them also for my 2WD 2011 Silverado 4.8 but want to retain cats in the system. Has anyone added universal slip fit cats to this setup? I'm thinking of putting a cat on each collector (slip fit), then shortening the y-pipe accordingly, and then slip the y-pipe into each cat.
Is there enough pipe before the bend to do this?
If anyone has done it, I'd love to hear about it and better yet, see photos.
