they are all gen III small block based. LS1 just happened to be the rpo for the first version. if you buy wires for a newer truck, you didn't buy LS1 truck wires, you bought wires for a gen III small block truck or LM7, LR4, LQ4, LQ9, L59, etc. it's a truck, not a car.

Zippy is technically right...

MSD calls our wires "LS1 truck wires". I also call our engines "LS1 based" at times...

I see MSD has four sets of wires between the f-body's and our trucks.

TSP is selling a set that they're quoting as fitting both.

There are two different design coils for trucks. One needs longer wires and the other needs shorter. My 02 truck takes the shorter wires and my buddy's 02 takes the longer ones.

That's strange, SF.

I had MSD "truck" wires on my 02 Avalanche. PN 32829. They were quite long, and rubbed the steering shaft, and AC condensor drip-pan thing on the passenger side.

I have Taylor TV50's now, and they fit great. I think they only make one set for the trucks.

Thats why we are all on this site---LS1tech.com There isnt that much difference in them things like all aluminum vs aluminum/iron and then of course the cubic inches between the 5.7(ls1) and then your "VORTECHS" 4.8,5.3,etc..
