What are the advantages of replaceing the stock ignition wires? What is everyone useing? What should I be looking for? 99 Chevy 5.3 is looking for a tune up and I thought I might replace the wires. Your thoughts please. Thanks

In my case, I used Taylor 8mm Spiro's and NGK TR5 plugs when I did mine last year. It really smoothed the idle and upper RPM's out. That was the first time I changed plugs and wires and reall noticed a differance. A lot of guys use Taylors (I wiil say, a few don't like them, but mine are great for me) some use Magnacors and Jacobs also.
