Default Spark plug recommendation for stock 5.3?

Topic sums it up. Anybody have any plug suggestions for my otherwise stock 5.3? I see a few people running NGk TR55's. Is that the way to go?

the stock plugs are pretty good...but if you want to upgrade then TR55s are probably the best if you're running NA

I'm running NGK tr6 because of nos and cam. The stock platinums are good for over 100k miles but the nos required the removal of platinums. The only thing I know for sure is BOSH A4's hurt my performance noticably. I lost 3 mph and 2 tenths in the 1/4 mile, thats at least 20hp. If this prevents someone else from making the same mistake, you're welcome. My truck at the time was stock.

My truck is idling kinda crappy. So I figured it may be time for the plugs to go. I took them out when I first got my truck and even then the plugs didnt look great. Im gonna take them out tomorrow to see what they look like and then decide. But other than that, will I be OK with some TR55's?? I really dont want to pay for the TR55IX's.

the TR55s, will be great in your setup. they're like $14 at O'riley's here so they can't be that much.

I just put in the TR55s gaped at .55 and my idling is smoother. I have 23K on the truck. It feels like throttle response is a little better now too, hard to tell.

Yep TR55's the way to go, I second that call about the Bosch Plat4... They definatley suck for our trucks. Now if you have a rice burner then get em. Gap those TR55's to about .55 at the most through 0.60 thats the least you want your gap to be. BIGGER GAP= LESS POWER AND PERFORMANCE .60 is stock gap .55 will be good for most mods.
