Just changed my plugs and I believe they were the originals. Anyone notice anything drastically wrong other than having 139k on them. White dot represents the front of the truck and a couple of the wires crumbled on removal.
Truck is a 4.8 crew cab now with ngk iridium ix and msd's
It looks normal for plugs on these trucks. I have to show you a plug i have from on 01 2500 6.0 work truck that i sahved in my tool box. Had no issues on 198k motor no miss no lack of power nothing. He just complained of not getting his 400 miles per tank. He was like 375ish or something.
Anyways the gap is literally almost .150. They call for .50-.55 gap. Haha
Can see close enough to really get a good look. ...
Check this website to understand why your pictures are woefully inadequate, uh6tdrvr. And that website doesn't even get into AFR plug reading diagnosis, where you need a lit magnifying glass to see down to where the insulator meets the inside of the plug body to see how high the carbon ring comes up the insulator. I attached a picture of a plug that a guy cut the threaded portion off to see the carbon ring to show his WOT AFR. It is actually on the rich side.
