well i was a little pissed about finding out that i have the (280) which is made for the '98 silverados. i went ahead and emailed flex a lite with my problem and they said the only difference between the 280 and 282 is just a couple brakets. they told me to just send them my reciept and give my address and they'll send them out to me, free. so i just hope that is the difference....

 

they said the same thing to me call Dave in customer service and he'll overnight the new brackets
what they are doing now is shipping the brackets in the new kits
they screwed up and are making it right just taken them like 5 months to get it right
i should have mine in the next week or so ..
let me know if you get yours in before ,i hope they perform well for the money there worth .
