Is something just wrong with my tach.???

My truck idles at like 300rpm and cruising at 65 its at 1500. That cant be normal, my moms tahoe idles at like 700 and at 65 its at 2000. 500 rpm differece...wtf

300rpms seems too low for idle. Theres definatly something cheesy with that tach.

Yea, if your truck was really idiling at 300 it would be shaking and rattling and wanting to die. Although 65mph around 1500 might be about right...
