ya know, Ive seen Lightnings pull the wheels about 6" at the track. And Ive seen some run low 11s, and alot run low 12s. Why arent any of our many 6.0s or 5.3s with a RADIX able to hit those times?

 

just go buy one of these. but i am sure these mid 14 second trucks wouldnt run with a radix bolted on a 5.3 or 6.0.

 

That launch looks pretty bad ***. I want to see a new reg cab chevy do that. My ext cab will twist alot, but will never pull a wheel of the ground. My camero though, thats a different story.

 

my buddy had a 2001 toyota tacoma v6, supercharged, and a 6 inch lift, 33 inch tires.
He would get his front tires off the ground. I always wondered what the hell the deal was? Maybe cause it was five speed. Well he busted a few drivelines or carrier bearing brackets or something like that. So he sold it!

 

I'd go with a Ford 9-inch rear end and tub the thing, that's what I did. It also helps if you have a trick motor.

I wouldnt put in a 14 bolt. they are very strong rear ends and will be a bolt in swap, but they are just too heavy. a 9" would be the best choice, then maybe a 12 bolt with 9" outers or something.
