slicks and nitrous is the best combination. easily cut 1.5 secs off your ET. you can get a used NX kit for $350 or less. also look for slightly used set of slicks.

yep, what graygmc said is the best way to go.

the dual stage kits arent cheap. regular price is 799 for the basic kit. i caught it on sale and got it for 750 including a 15lb bottle upgrade though.

Sticky tires + N2O = <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Upgrading from a single stage two a dual is not that expensive... two more solenoids some more line and another fogger is really all it takes. The electronics are cheap if you know what to get. Yes, I do own a digital progressive fro my system but their are much cheaper avenues you can pusue and expeience teh benefits of a dual stage. If you have a dry system, a dual stage is yours for under $100 and the cost of a standard dry kit.

I run OE alloys w/ 26x11.50x16's. If you are afaid of tire walk at 100 mph due to 10-11 psi tire pressures this is not the combo for you. 26x10.50x16s are much more stable due to the higher pressure you can run and maintain the same contact patch.

I run from a 125-135 RWHP with a purpose built NOS dry kit.

15 PSI is recommened and personal discression should be expressed if running lower pressure. What I've found chalking tires is that on the stock rim the 11.50's leave a substantially larger patch @ 10-11 psi than a 10.50 at the same pressure. However, at 15 PSI the 10.50 actually has a slight, but still substantial, footprint advantage over the 11.50's.

So if you prefer stability and tire walk is not in your vocabulary then go with the 10.50's. If you don'tmind steering on the big end of the track 11.50's offer better traction potential. While I stil don't run a tube 11.50's with 10-11 psi is pushing the limits of "total safety."
