For those using kit 0062,
"Dual back rear exit" SSS kit,
what size piping do they use?

I'm assuming the muffler is a internal crossflo pattern??

Thanks

2.5" off the cats.

2.125" tailpipes.

The muffler is odd. It does have crossover 'abilities', but I don't think it's a real X or H pipe type design. I put a vacuum-cleaner outlet on one of the mufflers inlets, and air came out the other inlet side pretty easy. Once on the truck though, at idle, if you block one of the tailpipes, there's a good amount of backpressure that'll be pushing back on your hand.

If you look in the muffler, there were some odd looking shapes of metal just upstream of the inlets. I hate to say it, but almost like a flowmaster. I could see the preforated metal tubes just beyond them, though.

I wanted to swap it out for a true-straight through type muffler like a Magnaflow, just to see if there are any performance differences.

Yes, Thats what I though same size outlet pipes as my 5.3 system.
I have the single 3" in, 2.125 dual outlet setup on my Step side.
The muffler internally looks like a stainless steel version of a Flowmster.
Baffled but with perforated walls,

I like the sound though,

Well you answered my question.

It would be pointless to buy this set up if i ever do the radix or 6l,
I could just get a dual in dual out muffler with dual intermediate pipes and reuse my tailpipes, which are the same size on the 5.3 as the 6.0l.
I need it to be stainless.

I was thinking jumping on the supermaxx sale and buying the dual pipe 6.0l setup. Than all I would need in the two pipes to connect the cat pipe to a new dual muffler.

Cool... Yeah, I like the sound of mine also.

Glad you understand what I meant about the muffler - it's hard to explain. (I didn't realize you already had the system)

Here's a few shots of the front half installed...
