Default Sierra C3 peformance upgrade?

What performance upgrades have been proven on the 6.0 in the 2001 Sierra C3?

all the same parts for the trucks/suv's will work on your truck.

headers
exhaust
intake(prety sure yours is the same)
nitrous
converter*** highly recomended
blower
.....

lots more, it all works on your truck.

Sure but trying to find out what works best and what's the best bang for the buck. Not much gains to be had on exhast. Maybe a little from headers.

I'm considering nitros or blower but don't know which systems are best for either option. Looking to hear from someone who has had good sucess with nitros or SC on the 6.0

About torque management: I heard that with nitrous, the torque management can kick in and reduce timeing so much that there is no net gain in hp. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

there are alot of products for every aspect to choose from, you may have to go back and do some research. i have nearly the same truck as you, here are some of my experiences.

whipple 1.5 sec for $3800 = $253/10th
headers .2 for $700 = $350/10th
stall .6 for $700 = $116/10th
intake .1 for $300? = $300/10th
6.0 .4 for $1500 = $375/10th

i am not 100% sure of those times but they are all close. there are alot of other ways to go. at least 5 diferent blowers to choose from, at least 5 headers to choose from. as you can see the converter is by far the best bang for the buck(except for nitrous). if you can come up with some more spacific questions i am sure you will get alot more oponions

The T.M. is only during shift points to my knowledge. Its is there to help protect your drivetrain. I ran between a 100-150 wet shot on my truck for about 6 months. I never got any times with the n20 but it did make a drastic difference.

With the following mods I was able to out run stock and mildly modded f-bodies and vettes. Your truck is going to be heavier with my of a drivetrain lose than I had though.

2001 5.3 w/ 3.73 G80
HPP3
K&N FIPK
TNT 100 shot (1300 psi)
ASP underdrive pulley
Electric Fans

I did make an attempted pass at the track with the n20 and had problems and the bottle went empty and I had no bottle heater at the time. But the time slip was in the range of 13.5 spraying in most of second gear and thats all.

I also had a stall however I think it hurt me more than it helped. I needed something that stalled a little lower.

Lots of things to consider. You definitely should get some Arizona headers, an intake, and exhaust work. Some sort of programming will help too. At this point, if it were my truck, I'd find a nice cam, install a mild converter, and buy a nitrous kit. With the cam, converter, and bolt-ons, it will be fun to drive. Your drivetrain wouldn't take a beating like a blower gives it all the time, but you'd have plenty of power to throw at it on demand with nitrous.
