Lol at the speculation.
I found a good deal on tires for my silverado on craigslist so i went to pick them up before someone else snatched them up. Brand new pirelli scorpion 285/75-16 for 600 bones. Ive had a patch in the sidewall of my BFG A/T for 2 years now.
Dont know if they finished the flanges. I didnt text to ask since i bailed on picking them up and went somewhere else instead.

another example of the simple fix working best..
they were all concerned about how they planned to hold the flanges down. they considered welding them together then tacking them to the table, countersinking and milling over the bolts, and building aluminum jigs to hold it all. the final result is so simple it makes you laugh...they just stuck it to a LS1 head using industrial adhesive and studs out of the exhaust manifold holes on the head.
I know I've been bagging on them a lot on the timeline, but now that I actually see progress, I will say that they did take on a job that no other machine shop in Houston wanted anything to do with. at least the ones I talked to. props to them for that.

just got an update video and the first flange is still on the table. they're having to cut .005 at a time at low speed and give it a rest every 5 passes to control the heat. too tedious for me to attempt. I told him I still think I could have done the job with a 4" angle grinder and file
