Should I put a diesel exhaust to quiet the truck down?

I am going to see if the exhaust guy can add two resinators and exit the exhaust behind the rear tires. There is no room for more mufflers. I will give this exhaust one last effort before ditching it and changing it up. Thanks for the replies guys, any more word please feel free to add.

What mufflers are on it now? Size wise.

I say it everywhere else and all of us owners will agree. Get a Corsa exhaust. Yes they are the most expensive ones. That's why.

Avoid anything 4"...it will be loud.

I would do dual 3" with magnaflow large case mufflers.

A resonator before the muffler will help. Which mufflers did you use? Long case or short case as this will also affect the Sound. You can also add an X before the mufflers as well.

I am not sure the size but look to be around 24" long. I dropped the truck at the exhaust shop this am to put resonators on where the cats were. IDK I might be able to put another muffler there if the resinators don't fix it. Also redirect the exhaust from going straight down.

My setup that I had/ have is- long tube pacetter headers to 3" collectors, to 3" spun gutted magnaflow cats to a 3" X pipe to two 3" in and 3" out magnaflow exhausts the up and over rear axle.

With my corsa I cannot even begin to explain how quiet it is.... Until I don't want it to be. At wot it's nasty, but incredibly tame under normal to medium driving conditions. I even have long tubes and no cats as well. It's expensive, but I got mine for $750 shipped through summits price match. Definitely worth the buy!!

The problem with corsa at this point with his build is its a single 3" exhaust... not enough for him with his mods.

Corsa starts sounding like crap when you add boost as it outflows the muffler.

Look at Magnaflow's website. they have 5" and 6" rounds the straight through section and 5-7" in the race muffler section. If you have the room that will make a huge difference. I used 5" rounds part #12867 in front of my muffler. Has a nice sound, definitely not to loud. I'd rather be seen than heard. the bigger you can go the better. I only had room for the 5" because of diameter I ran them straight in a Magnaflow dual 3" single muffler. always pay attention to core size. also for your information a single 4" will be louder.
