Your poor capitalization usage makes your post look like a ransom note! No, it will not damage anything. I have a transgo kit with no washers, a vette servo, and the biggest B&M cooler available. I will add the billet servo when I feel like it, and I will be adding a torque converter from a trailblazer soon.

The big key to transmission life is changing the fluid with some regularity. I will probably have 40% torque management removed once I get around to getting my truck tuned by Allen or MTI.

The Vette servo and transgo will give you a nice crisp shift at all RPMs, but it will be great when you're really on it, one of the best mods I think anyone can do.

whats a vette servo

NovaTime 10-14-2004 06:45 PM

its a corvette servo for the 4L60E, it is a slip in replacement and it costs about $15. You can buy one from KDS, although they pissed me off. It will take two seconds to install.

If you go the transgo route, make sure you get an aluminum accumulator piston, like sold on KDS. You won't regret the transgo....

SORRY ABOUT THE capitalization THE COMPUTER SYSTEM I USE ALWAYS HAS TO BE IN CAP LOCK CAUSE I SWITH FROM THIS SITE TO MY GM PARTS SCREEN ALL DAY. AND IT MUCH TROUBLE TO SWITCH IT OVER EVERY TIME I CHANGE PAGES

Breeze 10-16-2004 12:05 PM

I thought that putting in the Vette servo was a raving b...h, something about having to drop some bracket or linkage crap out of the way, nasty metal ring removal process, o rings yadda yadda yada. Bad info? if so can you give a quick primer on what all is involved or shoo me off to a thread that goes through it? and do I need to modify my Westers tune to get all that this mod has to give. Any help would be appreciated.
