Unhappy she is down now---really down!-UPDATE!!!!!!!!!

well tonight i went to the houston smackdown to put some smack down. and my smack down was on the truck. i spun when i launched. caught grip and started to gain and BOOOOOMMM she let loose!!!! she would not go and was clunking loudly. coasted her to the end and the rear locked up. not sure yet if it is the rear end as well as the tranny. either one or both are gone. now i need to find someone to build me a good tranny or go 4L80E. i will find what i am going to do this weekend.

Dude, I thought you had a built tranny? Why would that let go? Even if it was your rear end, I'm sure the tranny took some of the hit. That sucks man....best of luck.

By the way, were you launching on the juice?

James, could putting other fluids in the differential with an Eaton posi other than the GM differential oil and friction modifier that Eaton specifically says to only use have any effect on the failure of 02Denali's rear end, if it is in fact his rear end?
